In early 2011, the Brazilian Army received a mission to coordinate the expansion of the aircraft yard at Guarulhos Airport, an earthwork of R$ 400 million.
The Army's calculations predicted that the yard would be ready only in the second half of 2013. However, the yard ended up being ready in December 2012 - almost a year earlier than it was on paper and with savings of R$ 130 million. How was that possible?
